The process of writing a report can feel quite daunting. The best way to handle this is to break it down into little pieces. You need to begin writing it by reporting the results of your data and the method you used. This will be the foundation of your report. When you have written your report, it is customary to have the report presented in the following order:
- Title
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion/conclusion
- References
Often, scientists find it easier to write the report in a different order. This is completely fine, but ensure the report is in the above order for submission.
Keep in mind that the total word count for your report is 1,000 words. this does not include your abstract and your references. A suggested breakdown for this is 300 words for your introduction, 300 words for your methods and results, 300 words for your discussion, and 100 words for the conclusion.
